No other code date, package size or flavor is impacted. This is the only Frito-Lay product impacted by this recall. This recall is not related to the recent peanut recalls.

This product has been distributed to retail stores in the United States and Canada. The pistachios used in this product were supplied by Setton Pistachio, which has recalled selected lots of pistachios. Setton Pistachio is recalling pistachios from the 2008 crop year.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and other persons with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis.
