Acular
Acular Overview
Acular (generic: ketorolac) is a prescription used to treat eye itch due to allergies. It also is used to treat symptoms of swelling and inflammation that may occur following cataract surgery. Acular LS is used to treat eye pain and burning/stinging following eye surgery.
Acular belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which help to stop the release of substances that cause allergy symptoms and inflammation.
This medication comes in an ophthalmic (eye) solution form and is applied to the affected eye 4 times a day.
Common side effects of Acular include stinging or burning of the eyes. Acular can also cause blurry vision. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Acular affects you.
