Agrylin (generic: anagrelide) is a prescription medication used to treat a condition where the blood makes too many platelets. Agrylin belongs to a group of drugs called platelet-reducing agents. These work by slowing the production of platelets in the body.

This medication comes in capsule form and is taken 1 to 4 times a day, with or without food.

Common side effects of Agrylin include headache, irregular heart beats, diarrhea, weakness, and nausea. Agrylin can also cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Agrylin affects you.
