Amerge (generic: naratriptan) is a prescription medicine used to treat migraine headaches in adults. Amerge belongs to a group of drugs called 5-HT agonists or "triptans." It works by narrowing blood vessels in the brain, stopping pain signals traveling to the brain, and stopping the release of certain natural substances that cause symptoms of a migraine.

Amerge comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth as soon as a migraine starts.

Common side effects of Amerge include dizziness, feeling hot or cold, and light sensitivity.
