Clinoril Overview

Clinoril (generic: sulindac) is a prescription medication used to treat pain and inflammation caused by a variety of conditions including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gouty arthritis, bursitis, and tendinitis. This medication belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking substances called prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation.

Clinoril comes in tablet form. It is usually taken twice daily with food and a full glass of water.

Common side effects include stomach pain, indigestion, and nausea. Clinoril can cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how it affects you.
