Copaxone (generic: glatiramer) is a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). Copaxone belongs to a group of drugs called immunomodulators, which are thought to work by stopping the immune system from destroying the protective coating around nerve fibers.

This medication comes in an injectable form in a prefilled syringe. Copaxone is injected just under the skin, once daily.

Some of the common side effects of Copaxone include redness, pain, or itching at the injection site.
