Diclegis
Diclegis Overview

Diclegis (generic: doxylamine/pyridoxine) is a prescription medication used to treat nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, also known as "morning sickness". Diclegis is a single tablet containing 2 medications, doxylamine, an antihistamine that works by blocking the effects of histamine, and pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6.

This medication comes in an extended-release tablet to be taken whole, on an empty stomach. The recommended starting dose is two tablets taken at bedtime. If necessary, the dose can be increased to a maximum recommended dose of four tablets daily (one in the morning, one mid-afternoon and two at bedtime).

The most common side effect is drowsiness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Diclegis affects you.
