Dymista Overview
Dymista (generic: azelastine/fluticasone) is a prescription medication used to treat seasonal allergies in people over 12 years old. Dymista is a nasal spray containing two drugs. Azelastine belongs to a group of drugs called antihistamines, which stop the activity of a substance that causes allergy symptoms. Fluticasone belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids, which help decrease inflammation in the nose.
This medication comes in nasal spray form and is sprayed once in each nostril twice daily.
Common side effects of Dymista include changes in taste, nosebleeds, and headache.
