Eliquis
Eliquis Overview
Eliquis (generic: apixaban) is a prescription medication used to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism (artery blockage). Eliquis belongs to a group of drugs called Xa inhibitor anticoagulants, which decrease the chance of a blood clot forming in the body.
This medication comes in tablet form and is taken twice a day with or without food.
Common side effects are related to bleeding.
