Fentora Overview

Fentora (generic: fentanyl) is a prescription medication used to manage breakthrough pain in adults with cancer who are already taking other opioid pain medications around the clock for pain. Fentora belongs to a group of drugs called opioid narcotic analgesics, which help to relieve pain in the body.

This medication comes in tablet form. It is dissolved in the mouth between the upper cheek and gums, typically every four hours as needed for breakthrough pain.
Common side effects include nausea, constipation, and dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Fentora affects you.
