Geodon Overview

Geodon (generic: ziprasidone) is a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Geodon belongs to a group of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. It is believed to work by lessening the effects of certain chemicals in the brain involved with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

This medication comes in capsule form and is usually taken twice daily with food.

Common side effects of Geodon include nausea, constipation, and drowsiness.  Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
