Juvisync Overview

Juvisync (generic: sitagliptin/simvastatin) is a prescription medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol in adults.  Juvisync is a single tablet containing two prescription drugs.  Sitagliptin belongs to a group of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, which help lower blood sugar levels.  Simvastatin belongs to a group of drugs called HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, which help lower cholesterol levels.

This medication comes in tablet form and is taken once daily in the evening.

Common side effects of Juvisync include upper respiratory tract infection, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, and headache.
