Kcentra
Kcentra Overview

Kcentra (generic: prothrombin complex concentrate, human) is a prescription medication used to reverse the effects and to stop bleeding caused by warfarin and other anticoagulant ("blood thinner") medications. Kcentra belongs to a group of medicines called four-factor concentrates because it contains four blood-clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X, which are deficient in patients taking warfarin and other anticoagulant medications.

This medication comes in an injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV) by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects of Kcentra include headache, nausea, vomiting, joint pain, and low blood pressure.
