Lotensin
Lotensin Overview

Lotensin (generic: benazepril) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure. This medication belongs to a group of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It works by blocking the ACE enzyme, which helps blood vessels to relax and lowers blood pressure.

Lotensin comes in tablet form. It is usually taken once or twice daily, with or without food.

Common side effects include headache, fatigue, and dizziness. Lotensin can also cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how it affects you.
