Lotrel Overview

Lotrel (generic: amlodipine/benazepril) is a prescription medicine used to treat high blood pressure in adults. Lotrel is a single capsule containing two drugs, amlodipine and benazepril. Amlodipine belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers and benazepril belongs to a group of drugs known as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Both of these drugs allow the blood vessels to relax, which lowers blood pressure.
