Marqibo (generic: vincristine liposomal) is a prescription medication used to treat adults with a rare type of leukemia (blood and bone marrow cancer) that has returned at least two times, or has worsened following at least 2 other cancer treatments.

Marqibo contains a special formulation of vincristine, a chemotherapy treatment widely used for leukemias. The special formulation of Marqibo allows it to stay in the area of the tumor longer, and to cause fewer side effects. Vincristine belongs to a group of drugs called vinca alkaloids which work by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.

This medication comes in an injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV) once every 7 days.

Common side effects of Marqibo include nausea, fever, and diarrhea.
