Menest Overview
Menest (generic: esterified estrogens) is a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of menopause. It is also used to treat a condition in which the ovaries do not produce enough estrogen, and to reduce the symptoms of breast and prostate cancer. Menest contains a mixture of estrogen hormones. It relieves the symptoms of menopause by replacing estrogen the ovaries no longer produce.
This medication comes in tablet form and is usually taken once daily, with or without food.
Common side effects include headache, stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting.
