Micardis (generic: telmisartan) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure. Micardis belongs to a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) which block a natural substance that narrows blood vessels. This allows the heart to pump more efficiently.

This medication comes in tablet form and is usually taken once a day, with or without food.
