Minastrin 24 Fe (generic: ethinyl estradiol/norethindrone/ferrous fumarate) is a prescription medication used to prevent pregnancy. Minastrin 24 Fe contains two hormones, ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone, which belong to a group of drugs called hormonal contraceptives. These hormones prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation and by altering cervical mucus and the lining of the uterus.
This medication comes in tablet form and is taken once daily, with or without food.
Common side effects of Minestrin 24 Fe include spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods, nausea, breast tenderness, and headache.
