Mirvaso
Mirvaso Overview
Mirvaso (generic: brimonidine) is a prescription medication used to treat facial redness due to rosacea that does not go away. Mirvaso belongs to a group of drugs called alpha-adrenergic agonists. These work by narrowing the blood vessels just under the skin, thus reducing redness.
This medication comes in topical (on the skin) gel form and is applied once daily to each of the five areas of the face: central forehead, chin, nose, and each cheek.
Common side effects of Mirvaso include redness, flushing, burning sensation of the skin, and skin irritation.
