Nimbex (generic: cisatracurium) is a prescription medication used as a muscle relaxing agent for surgery or intubation (having a tube put into your throat) during hospitalization. Nimbex belongs to a group of drugs called neuromuscular blockers. These works by blocking the chemical that causes muscle movement.

This medication is available in an injectable form to be given directly into a vein (IV) by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects of Nimbex include a slower heart beat, low blood pressure, and flushing.
