Noroxin Overview

Noroxin (generic: norfloxacin) is a prescription medication used to treat certain bacterial infections including urinary tract and prostate infections.  Noroxin belongs to a group of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones, which work by killing the bacteria that cause the infections.

This medication comes in tablet form and is taken twice a day. Take Noroxin on an empty stomach, either one hour before or 2 hours after eating dairy products or drinking milk.

Common side effects of Noroxin include dizziness, nausea, and diarrhea.
