Norvasc (generic: amlodipine) is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain. Norvasc belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers, which relax blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.
This medication comes in tablet form and is usually taken once a day, with or without food.
Common side effects of Norvasc include headache, swelling of legs or ankles, tiredness, and nausea.
