Nymalize
Nymalize Overview

Nymalize (generic: nimodipine) is a prescription medicine used to treat patients experiencing symptoms of ruptured blood vessels in the brain (subarachnoid hemorrhage, or SAH). Nymalize belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers, which relax blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow into the injured brain tissue.

This medication comes in the form of an oral solution (liquid). It is taken 6 times a day 21 days after an SAH event.

Common side effects of Nymalize include decreased blood pressure, headache, and nausea. Nymalize can cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Nymalize affects you.
