Orvaten (generic: midodrine) is a prescription medication used to treat orthostatic hypotension (OH). This medication belongs to a group of drugs called alpha receptor agonists, which help to maintain adequate blood pressure and to prevent symptoms of OH including dizziness or lightheadedness.

This medication comes in tablet form and is taken 3 times a day, with or without food.
