Patanol Overview
Patanol (generic: olopatadine) is a prescription medication used to treat allergic pink eye. Patanol belongs to a group of drugs called antihistamines. It works by blocking the release of histamine from certain cells in the body.
This medication comes in the form of an eye drop. It is given as one drop in each affected eye, twice daily.
Common side effects of Patanol are headache, blurred vision, and eye burning or stinging.
