Rhinocort Aqua (generic: budesonide) is a prescription medication used to treat seasonal and year-round allergy symptoms. Rhinocort Aqua helps reduce the nasal symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the lining of the nose), such as stuffy nose, runny nose, itching and sneezing. Rhinocort Aqua belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids. It works by reducing swelling in the lining of your nose.

This medication comes in the form of a nasal spray. It is sprayed into the nose, usually once or twice daily.

Common side effects of Rhinocort Aqua are nose bleed, sore throat, and cough.
