Rituxan (generic: rituximab) is a prescription medication used to treat non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (two types of blood cancers), rheumatoid arthritis, and Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis or Microscopic Polyangiitis (diseases causing inflammation of the blood vessels).

Rituxan belongs to a group of drugs called biologic antineoplastic agents which work by killing abnormally multiplying blood cells.

This medication comes in an injectable form that is given directly into a vein (IV) by a healthcare provider.

Common side effects of Rituxan include infections, chills, body aches, and tiredness.
