Stavzor (generic: valproic acid) is a prescription medicine used to treat seizure disorders, bipolar disorder, and to prevent migraine headaches. Stavzor belongs to a group of drugs called anticonvulsants. Stavzor belongs to a group of drugs called anticonvulsants, which change chemicals in the brain to restore normal function.
This medication comes in capsule form and is taken up to three times daily, with or without food. Swallow Stavzor capsules whole.
Common side effects of Stavzor include nausea, drowsiness, and dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
