Tricor
Tricor Overview
Tricor (generic: fenofibrate) is a prescription medication used, along with diet and exercise, to lower triglycerides and “bad” cholesterol in the blood, and increase “good” cholesterol levels. Tricor belongs to a group of drugs called antilipemic agents, which help the body to remove triglycerides and cholesterol in the blood.
This medication comes in tablet form and is taken once a day, with or without food.
Common side effects of Tricor include constipation, diarrhea, and heartburn.
