Zortress (generic: everolimus) is a prescription medication used to prevent organ rejection in adults who have received a kidney transplant. Zortress belongs to a group of medication called protein kinase inhibitors, which work by weakening the immune system to prevent it from attacking the new organ.

This medication comes in tablet form and is taken twice a day, with or without food.

Common side effects of Zortress include swelling of the lower legs, ankles and feet, constipation, nausea, and high blood pressure.
