Accutane® (isotretinoin) is used to treat the most severe form of acne (nodular acne) that cannot be cleared up by any other acne treatments, including antibiotics. Accutane is only for patients who understand and agree to carry out all the instructions in the iPLEDGE program, because Accutane can cause serious side effects.

ACE inhibitors, or inhibitors of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme, are a group of pharmaceuticals that are used primarily in treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure, in most cases as the drugs of first choice.

Wellbutrin® (bupropion) is an atypical antidepressant, which acts as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor and dopamine reuptake inhibitor, and a nicotinic antagonist. Bupropion is primarily used as an antidepressant and as a smoking cessation aid. In 2006 it was the fourth most prescribed antidepressant on the U.S. retail market with 21,141,000 prescriptions.

Valium® (diazepam) is a drug which is a benzodiazepine derivative. It possesses anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative, skeletal muscle relaxant and amnestic properties. This makes it a useful drug for treating anxiety, insomnia, seizures, alcohol withdrawal, and muscle spasms. It is also used before certain medical procedures (such as endoscopies) to reduce tension and anxiety, and in some surgical procedures to induce amnesia.

Seroquel®, (quetiapine) belongs to a series of neuroleptics known as "atypical antipsychotics", which have, over the last two decades, become increasingly popular alternatives to "typical antipsychotics", such as haloperidol (Haldol®).

Prozac® (fluoxetine hydrochloride) is an antidepressant drug used medically in the treatment of depression, body dysmorphic disorder,obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, hypochondriasis and panic disorder.

Provigil® (modafinil) is used to improve wakefulness in people who have excessive daytime sleepiness associated with narcolepsy; stopped breathing while sleeping or have difficulty breathing while sleeping (obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome) or shift work sleep disorder.

General Precautions with Provigil

Paxil® (paroxetine hydrochloride) is useful for many mood problems including: depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Lithium treatment is used to treat mania in bipolar disorder. Initially, lithium is often used in conjunction with antipsychotic drugs as it can take up to a week for lithium to have an effect. Lithium is also used as prophylaxis for depression and mania in bipolar disorder.

Lexapro (escitalopram) is useful for treating mood problems, such as depression and anxiety. Lexapro® is Forest Laboratories' brand name for escitalopram. It is a medication developed by the Danish pharmaceutical company Lundbeck, that acts as aselective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
