Uses of Ryzodeg
Ryzodeg (insulin degludec/aspart), an ultra-long-acting insulin with a duration of action of more than 24 hours, is being developed by Novo Nordisk for the treatment of type 1 and 2 diabetes. The new insulin will be dosed once a day, at any time. An FDA Advisory Committee voted in support of a cardiovascular outcomes trial to be conducted post-marketing due to cardiovascular risks (heart problems).
